For Spring Break I was going to go to Oregon but canceled last minute for lack of funds so I needed to do something. I decided to refinish my dresser! My parents are remodeling so I've been out of my room for a week anyway cause they're painting so my dresser was empty! So I had 3 days off and it was hard work that I'll never do again!
Day One
This is what it started out looking like. Not to pretty but its good wood and it was my dads
I stripped all the old stuff off. It actually took me 2 days. I stripped it one day and then stripped some more the next! so this is what it looked like the end of day one. Thank goodness you can't see what I look like at the end of day one!
Day Two
I started sanding on day 2. This was tough. I did all the drawers by hand but the dresser top had some serious work to be done so I made my momma go buy me my first power tool, a power Sander! That thing probably saved my life but I was still sore the next day and Didn't look any pretty but the dresser was coming along!
Day 3
I FINISHED! I stained it and I think it looks really good. So told my mom this is now my dresser I don't care who bought it but this is my sweat and blood that stained this freakin wood and its MINE! Now I need to find some drawer pulls which is harder then I thought it would be! But I'm really proud of what I did. I'd buy something like this!

Sheesh, that looks awesome! Nice work. Dan and I refinished our entertainment center, and it was a freakin pain. Not a fun project, but the finished product sure looks marvelous.
Wow you did a really great job! :) They have pulls at home depot or target.
Wow good job Jasmine! I'm impressed!
